Called to Serve...
I have felt called to go on a mission trip for a long time, but I have never had the opportunity to go. Now, I have an amazing opportunity to serve God and share my faith in Egypt. I strongly feel God calling me to go, and I am excited to follow his calling. James 1:27 says "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." When I was praying for God to show me whether I should go on this trip or not, I ran into this text again and again: at vespers, in a sermon at a church I never go to, at a concert in Chattanooga, and on a sign on the street. God is calling me to serve, and I want to live out this text that he has shown me!
About Nile Union Academy...
In 1954 a dream was born. Nile Union Academy, an English Language Secondary School in the greater Cairo, held its firsts classes as a boarding school. With new buildings and a barren 35 acres it began making dreams come true one young person at a time. Now 60 years later, operating at it’s capacity of 135 Egyptian and Sudanese students, NUA continues to make dreams come true.
Some return to serve their countries with their talents, some stay in their new country, and integrate into a western culture. Wherever God leads them in life, NUA provides a combined academic and spiritual launch point unequaled in Egypt. They hope you will consider becoming a part of the NUA family as a student, a parent or one of many others who support and bless us with their prayers, service, money and encouragement.
