It is amazing what the Lord is doing in the Amazon through a partnership of faithful people both from America and from Brazil.  I have the opportunity to go on my 4th trip in the last 25 months but I need your help in getting me there.  Let's Go!

Why we go:
We go to proclaim and serve in the name of Christ.  Those are the only reasons.  The friendships I will make, the pictures of the scenic region I will take, the things I will learn about myself, and even the fact that I will likely come back to the States as a better person with a deeper understanding of my faith are all great reasons to go.  I view them all as a bonus to the work that we will do while we are there.  I want to see people's lives transformed and leaders developed who will help plant churches.  I've seen it happen on my past three trips and all in different ways.

What that looks like:
We will be helping with tangible needs: bringing medical teams, building a water well, conducting a VBS or a school/camp for a week for kids, passing out clothes and soccer balls.  

We will also be ministering to the people: sharing testimonies, the Gospel, teaching them how to read the Bible, raising up of leaders by empowering them so they know they can do this well without us there when we leave.

What is the cost to get there:
The airfare/travel is roughly $1300 and then the boat is $2000.  We will be living on the open air boat the entire time we are there.  The boat cost includes the translators, crew, gas, food, supplies to get us there and back safely and effectively.

How you can help:
1) Prayer.  Our team needs prayer and so do I as one of the trip leaders.  There is much to prepare for before we leave with team unity, supplies, roles, training.  There will be a lot to figure out when we get there as flexibility and adaptation are key.  We expect big things on this trip and we need boldness to take the first steps off the boat and get after it.  If we show up and simply make ourselves available to God to be used, amazing things will happen.  Please join our team by praying for us and for the people we will meet.

2) Financial support.  I need people to come alongside me and help get me there and I need to get some help in a hurry.  I've been very focused on the training and meeting with people to recruit and build our team that I've kind of gotten behind on my fundraising.  Honestly, it is a pride thing that delayed me to ask for help, but know that I need and are thankful for whatever you can give no matter how small or how big!  You can donate straight through this site and it is tax deductible.
