My name is Brady Thyfault and I'm from Temecula, a city in Southern California.  I've grown up as a part of the church, and although I was baptized when I was 10, I failed to understand the duty I have as a follower of Jesus Christ.  Up until two years ago, I lived the life of a Christian who simply goes through the motions and I lacked involvement with the church and a strong connection with the Lord. 

That's when I was invited to the youth group at Sunridge Community Church by a friend at school. I witnessed the devotion the youth had in the way they spoke of and glorified God and how each person's heart was on fire for Him. From that moment on, I've been driven by their encouragement and together, with mutual inspiration, we have grown together as a body set on giving praise to the Lord.
 
Despite this drive to grow my relationship with God, I felt like there was something I was missing and something in my very nature I was suppose to be doing.  I had been praying about this and when I read over the book of Matthew I was reminded of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).  A few days later, my youth pastor proposed the idea of taking a group of high schoolers on a missions trip to Nepal and I knew this was God's calling for me.

I've isolated myself for so long, keeping my beliefs confined to my youth group and close friends.  However, I began to think about the unreached people that have yet to experience or hear of the Gospel and God's great love for us.  I've always questioned the value I have as a teenager in spreading God's word, but have since realized the potential as a result of my age and have been encouraged from reading 1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."

With each passing day I'm reminded of how one person can help change a life like mine changed the moment I stepped into that youth room.  I want to fulfill the plan God has layed out for my life. As part of His plan, I know God has put on my heart the people of Nepal and He wants to use me as His instrument to tell them of His great love and the eternal salvation found in our Lord Jesus Christ.  My hope for this missions trip is to successfully spread this great truth to the people of Nepal in order to establish relationships with God that continue for generations as well as be changed through my experiences there and strengthen my own relationship with God.
