As some of you many know, the Lord has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to go to Ethiopia to share the good news of Jesus Christ and the hope that is found only in him. 

2016 was a year learning to trust the Lord in all aspects of my life, including this trip. Through a whole lot of prayer and a whole lot of petitioning, I've learned so much about God's character and His love for not only me, but His people. I cannot wait to see what God does in Ethiopia.

Some fun facts about Ethiopia:

• The area is 1.1 million sq. km (472,000 sq. mi); about the size of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico combined
• Oldest independent country in Africa and one of the oldest in the world
• Major crops are coffee (believed to have first been discovered in Ethiopia) and grain
• They are 7 years behind our Gregorian calendar (it is 2010 there), and they have 13 months each year (each month has 30 days except the 13th month which is only 5 days)

Please pray for the provision to get to Ethiopia (me and my team), the preparation of my heart, and the bold proclamation of Jesus Christ. Please also pray for

• the Muslims and Ethiopian Orthodox who will hear the truth of God's grace for the 1st time
  
• Team leadership discernment and guidance as God leads us
