I’m going back to the Amazon!!! Nov 20th I will be going with a group back to Brazil where we will get on a boat and travel for 24 hours down the Amazon River to minister to remote villages. This will be my 5th trip to the Amazon, and God has blown me away on every trip. When I was praying about whether God wanted me to go again this year, He quickly reminded me that there were 30,000 unreached villages, millions of hurting people, and that He has blessed me with the ability to go. Like previous trips, our group will be divided into 2 teams and each team will have a village that they will minister to all week. We will be partnering with a local ministry to help plant a church, and there will also be a medical and dental component to the trip as well as children’s ministry. I definitely have countless stories from past trips of hurting people who knew nothing about Jesus and were so hungry to hear about His love and plan for their lives. None of the people have Bibles, and I can’t even put into words the joy that radiates off their faces when they receive their first Bible and begin grasping God’s eternal plan. Getting to be God’s hands as we love on them and share Him with them is the most amazing thing.

The Amazon trips are also the most expensive mission trips that I’ve been on since we travel so far down the river and live on the boat in the middle of the Amazon for 10 days.
