Hello friends and family,

In the last two years, my life has changed immensely by surrendering it to Jesus Christ and pursuing a relationship with Him. After coming back from the World Race in 2014, I thought I was the “perfect” Christian girl and had it all together. But through the ending of an unhealthy relationship, changing of friendships, and moving back in with my parents, I realized that I could not continue carrying the hurts and burdens of life all on my own.  As Romans 3:23 says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”, I realized that I am still a sinner in need of the love, grace, and forgiveness that is only found in Christ. With the help of my church, community group, and relationship with Jesus, I finally decided to give up “my way” and follow Jesus’s path for my life. I finally came to the realization that His ways are better than my ways and His thoughts are better than my thoughts.

God has placed missions on my heart, and this year He has opened the door for me to go on a short term mission trip to Ethiopia with Watermark Community Church and e3Partners this summer in July 2019. I am so excited to get an opportunity to go back to Africa! We will partner with Ethiopian Christians as we do children’s/VBS & men’s & women’s outreach. Ultimately, the purpose of the trip is to build relationships & share Christ with Ethiopians who have never heard the name of Jesus & help fulfill e3 Ethiopia’s vision of planting churches within the unreached peoples of the Arsi Oromo.

As I prepare for the upcoming trip, I would be honored if you would join me in prayer! Please pray for my team, our Ethiopian translators and disciple-makers, and for the people who get to hear about the love and grace of Jesus!

I have set a personal goal for raising $1700 of the $3,400 total trip cost by April 1st.  These funds will go toward transportation, food, lodging, translators, and supplies. Any funds raised above and beyond the trip cost will be directed toward the local disciple makers training.
