Ukraine is located in Eastern Europe and is full of history and hospitality. It​ is approximately 233,062 sq. mil​es, making it the largest country in Europe.  Ukraine borders Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, the Black Sea, and Sea of Azoz.  In 1991, Ukraine gained their independence, but today they find themselves fighting to keep that independence. Ukrainians are uncertain what the future holds for their country. The believers with whom we partner know their hope is in Jesus, but thousands upon thousands don’t have that hope.

While on the mission field, your team will “focus” on reaching out to the refugees who are relocating in WESTERN Ukraine. We’ll be ministering to them in the safety of the far west, several hundred miles away from the conflict. According to the UN Refugee Agency, there are more than one million that have been displaced as a result of the conflict. So there is a great need to reach out to them. Although, our focus will be to minister to the refugees we will be involved with other ministry work. For instance, working with children, teaching English, starting I Am Second groups…all with the purpose of building relationships with those we meet so we can share our story as well as the Gospel story with them.
