The population of Costa Rica provides some dynamics that, if harnessed, could make a major impact in Central America. Two thirds of the population of this nation is under thirty years of age, which means those who are discipled will have many years to be used by God to continue to spread His Kingdom. There is also a significant number of Nicaraguan refugees, perhaps as many as 700,000, who live in Costa Rica. They provide a natural bridge to Nicaragua itself as they either visit, or return to, their native country.

As we work with national churches, we will seek to find avenues that will tap the potential of what Costa Rica could contribute to bringing the Gospel both within and without its borders. All of this is part of the role that you will play in conjunction with Costa Rican nationals in reaching people with the Message and creating a Church Planting Movement.
