It is with a lot of excitement (and a little bit of anxiousness!) that I send this letter to you. It's been a long time since I've been on a missions trip, and ever since kids, my usual reaction when hearing about a missions opportunity is, "Oh nope, not for me. What will I do about my kids?" But something was different this time when I heard of the opportunity to go to Africa. This time, I didn't worry about what's going to happen to my kids (that's what John's there for, right?). I didn't have any questions at all- I just knew at I wanted to go.
The Ilchamus people are an outcast group in the Lake Boringo region of Kenya. They live primitively, in a traditional and culturally bound society. My team and I will be traveling daily to the villages, using the Evangecube to share the gospel through an interpreter, as well as making visitations, and offering prayer.
Your prayers are greatly appreciated!! You can specifically pray for:
- As the team prepares to leave, please pray for all the logistics of the trip to work out
- my spiritual preparation - to practice the Evangecube, and a short testimony ready for sharing;
- to have courage and faith in God that everything will work out
- John and the kids
Thank you, my dear friend! I will keep updating this site...
God bless,
cindy
