It started with a dream. A dream that I feel God had inspired and sent to me about ministering to Ireland....I've never forgotten the dream. Since that day, Ireland has often been on my heart and I feel God's leading to go this year. What has inspired me is reading an article about a memorial for the potato famine that occurred many, many years ago in Ireland and realizing that there is a major spiritual famine going on that is just as destructive, certainly more, than the actual food famine.
There is a Protestant and Catholic divide in the country and the amazing Gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be heard. The percent of professed evangelical/born-again Christians has fallen to under .05 percent in this country. To be considered a country of an unreached people group, the percent of evangelical/born-again believers has to fall under 2%. Ireland obviously fits into this category.
I searched online for a short term mission trip and came across E3 Ministries. This began my research into this mission organization. I skyped with one of the leaders who will be taking us on the mission trip. I was pleasantly surprised that my phone call made it just on time to make the "10:02 prayer time". To explain, they set aside time to pray at 10:02 every day because of Luke 10:2 which says, "And He said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."
They are an organization that does what Jesus says to do, which is to rely upon the Holy Spirit to lead and to guide. There is no definitive set plan other than this.
Prayer is the most important thing you can do for me as I seek to reach the lost for Christ. Specifically, be praying against the strongholds of "religion" or aspects of resistance to the freeing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
If you are able to contribute financially to the expense of this trip, it would be very much appreciated.
