This service trip will provide me with the opportunity to learn and practice Spanish prior to entering my residency training. My goal is to become fluent in Spanish so that I can talk with my Spanish-speaking patients without having to rely on an interpreter, as this takes away from the patient-physician bond.

This service trip features formal Spanish classes from 8 AM-12 PM Monday through Thursday, with additional language practice in the clinical and social settings. I'm so excited to take my Spanish to the next level, so that I can provide the best possible care to my future Spanish-speaking patients.
