I work in the anti-trafficking industry, so it is beneficial to see as many sides of trafficking as I can to fully understand more than what a movie will tell me. Last October I was blessed with the opportunity to go on my first international mission trip to Cambodia where I was able to see first-hand the injustice of sex trafficking due to poverty. 

Now, I have been invited to join another mission trip to the world's #1 sex trafficking resource in the world, Moldova. Since 1991, over 450,000 girls have gone missing from Moldova. While the trafficking in Cambodia is mostly because of poverty, Moldova's high trafficking numbers are due to the large amount of orphans. At age 16, these young girls are no longer able to stay in the orphanage and put on the street. With nowhere to go and no skills to work, these girls are snatched up by Turkish or Russian mafia and sold into slavery. This trip will help change that. We will visit transition homes and teach these girls life skills so they can legitimately earn money to keep from being exploited.
