My name is Emily Taylor and I am currently a Freshman at UCSD studying Human Biology/Pre-Med. I am so excited about participating in my very first mission trip!!!
I have felt the spirit of service throughout my life and recognized that a mission field was as close as my own backyard. I have participated in numerous projects such as: Helping Hands Pantry, a food bank that serves San Bernardino where there are many people with great need; the Swimabilities program where I taught swimming to special needs children and finally, at Loma Linda University Medical Center in their Teen Volunteer Program. I have come to realize that no matter how small the action, service is a gift that I can graciously give.
I am about to serve abroad, joining 300 college students through ADRA Connections Extreme. Our trip will take us to Cusco, Perú where we will finish building a three-story elementary school in the remote Andes mountain community of Chillihuanu. The trip will take place July 21 - August 4, 2019.
As excited as I am, I cannot do it alone.
First, I ask that you pray for me as I prepare to serve. Secondly, I could use your financial help as the cost is substantial. I need to raise $1,100 with all of the proceeds going directly toward my airfare, lodging, food and ground transportation. Every little bit helps. If you feel led to contribute, please make your donation here.
I am excited to see how God is going to use me and what He is going to teach me on this mission!
Many, many thanks!
