Friends and family!
As some of you may know,
I have a heart for other cultures. My desire to go overseas was put on hold
when I decided to continue schooling to get a Master’s in Speech Language
Pathology. I am now almost half way done with the program and my desire
to serve overseas has not been stifled. My prayer has been for God to use
my skills as a Speech Therapist as a means to preach the gospel to the
nations.
I am thrilled to share with you that I
will be joining 99 Balloons to
serve individuals with disabilities in North India May 22-June 1. Our team will
be working with a disability support center that serves over 180 villages in
the rural foothills of the Himalayas. We will be
providing training to partners in India, respite services for families,
direct care for kids with disabilities, and medical clinics. The
team going on this trip will include special educators, speech-language
pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other
disability professionals. I, specifically, will have the opportunity to apply
what I am currently learning in school.
I
would be so thankful for you to join in supporting me through prayer
and/or financial support. Please pray for our team, the
individuals we will encounter, and those who serve in India full
time. If you would like to provide a donation, any bit will help.
The trip will cost $2835.
This covers the majority of my expenses. Donations are tax
deductible, and a receipt will be automatically emailed to you.
Feel
free to contact me for more details on the trip at edavee@uark.edu! Thanks so
much!
