Friends & Family,

Both of us have roots in Scandinavian and Bavarian cultures. Kathryn's grandfather was born in Germany. Evan's mother was born in Germany, and his grandmother born in Denmark with many family members still living there. Needless to say, we have always had a soft spot in our hearts for Europe. When the crisis grew last year in Germany, we continually felt a tugging on our hearts to go and help out. 

In June, we have an opportunity to serve in Germany where over half a million refugees (and counting) have resettled.  There are new arrivals to this area daily and they are flooding the country bearing worries, fears, and tons of emotional and spiritual turmoil. They need hope. Many have risked their lives to get there and left everything they knew behind.  

This trip will be one of six expeditions into the region to partner with a vibrant, growing church with missional vision for their community.  We will be working with refugees and German nationals alike, caring for both their physical and spiritual needs.  

We are so excited about this opportunity.
