Help One Now empowers families in developing countries through high-capacity local leaders with proven solutions to end extreme poverty.
One of the best solutions we have found to empower families is education. When even one family member is educated, it can improve the quality of life for the entire family. Education provides students with the foundation to face life’s challenges, provide for their families, and have a positive ripple effect through their entire community. Education is a foundation for a better future!
What does empowering families through education look like? In Haiti, it looks like making sure each student in school has the nutrition they need to thrive, so they can stay in school.
In food insecure communities, school meal programs help fight malnutrition and keep children in school who otherwise would not be able to attend. Providing a healthy meal at school each day is a tangible way to ensure that each student continues their education to completion, becomes self-sufficient, and breaks the cycle of extreme poverty in the life of their family.
The meal program at Williamson Adrien Academy provides a hot meal every day of the school year for 600 students and 55 staff members. Each meal costs only 50 cents! Your ticket to this event has already provided 100 school meals!
We invite you to join us, and continue empowering families in Pétionville, Haiti by ensuring students remain in school, lift their families out of poverty, and bring transformation and hope to their community.
