About
Multnomah University Masters of Arts in Global Development and justice would like to back, in partnership with the VOICES project, Grocery Gift Cards for Families:
The impact of the corona virus is wider than health. Some families are impacted economically by school closure, sporting events, hospitality industry, etc.
Our idea is simple - buy grocery store gift cards and get them in the hands of families who need them.
We are working with schools and community based nonprofits to identify and distribute the cards.

let's do this
MU Adjunct instructor Leroy Barber is a community developer and activist currently working as Director of Innovation for an Engaged Church with the Greater Northwest United Methodist Church. He is also the co-founder of the VOICES project. Leroy, his wife Donna, and their family have spent their lives responding to community needs in ways that empower dignity and agency to those impacted by injustice.
Online donations will be deposited in a VOICES project account and used to buy gift cards from grocery store chains to be given to schools and community based nonprofits that will identify families and distribute the cards.
