Dearest Friends & Family,
In the Spring of 2009 I hopped on a plane for the first time in my life and flew to the heart of Africa, a continent with countries I have come to adore. I spent 3 weeks there involved in mission work and when it was over I had no idea when or if I would ever get a chance to return.
Nearly 10 years later I was presented with the opportunity to co-lead a team of students on a mission trip to Eldoret Kenya, my heart leaped with excitement! Thanks to a supportive university community I have been able to pursue this opportunity and will return to this beautiful place once again.
We have been busily training and preparing so we can support each other and the communities we interact with during our time in Eldoret. We are absolutely grateful for all the words of affirmation, prayer, and financial support we receive. If you have it in your heart to contribute in one or more of these ways we would greatly appreciate the support. Thank you for being a part of my story!
Mungu Akubariki (God Bless You),
Lucy Henderson

In Kenya, NEXT partners with our national church planting leaders Daniel Kinuthia Kamau, Isaac Munji, Kepher Luhombo, and Rodgers Unda. These church planting leaders are now working together to develop discipleship training centers to raise up more church planters who will plant churches throughout Kenya and other parts of East Africa.
NEXT’s ministry in Kenya began in the South Coast province, helping plant numerous churches since 2007. In 2013, in addition to continuing our work on the coast, we began working with Rift Valley Fellowship. This year we are expanding our ministry to the town of Eldoret, in the northwestern part of Kenya.
On this trip, we will be partnering with local pastors in the Eldoret area to establish new churches and strengthen existing churches. Team members will be building up the local churches by engaging in gospel conversations with local members in the community, and by helping the church to host a sports clinic and camp for the young people in the community.
