While some trips may be offering medical services, engaging in sports activities, providing discipleship support for young children to geriatric patients, or participating in other locally led workshops, the core focus will remain the same.

We focus our efforts on resourcing Local Leaders as much as possible. We partner with local pastors and leaders and ask them, “What does your community need so they can be transformed?” By working alongside Local Leaders, your impact will last long after you return home. We aim to encourage, serve, and learn from these partners.

Going on a trip with Second Chance Global is a discipleship opportunity that gives each team member a chance to tangibly see what is happening in another culture and prayerfully transform the way they live their lives at home. These trips are opportunities for those who invest in our mission to see the work they are investing in. We enjoy serving our Church Partners and all individuals who invest in our programs through trips.

You will hear stories and engage in the communities. Doing this helps us, the foreigners, understand the unique issues in different environments. You will see the impact of projects firsthand and gain a new understanding of how complex but important working in these communities can be. You will understand how short-term mission trips can make a sustainable impact with a strategic approach. You will become Advocates of the country and people that you meet when you return home.

On your trip, the emphasis will be on connecting with a community, building deep relationships with the Local Leaders, and brainstorming how you can unlock your human capital to partner together and support their work back home.

*Please note that our Team Fees cover the average costs. There may be some additional costs depending on your specific team’s activities - Ex: specific medical supplies, sports equipment, or fun team excursion. Your Team Leader will communicate those costs if / when they’re known and these costs can be fundraised for as a team.

**Teams must meet a minimum requirement of 10 people. Your Team Leader will communicate with you 60 days prior to your trip if the trip is cancelled due to not enough team members. You will have the option to use your funds towards another team trip within the next 12 months or to be refunded half your team fee amount (excluding the $250 deposit).
