A child born to a
mother who can
read is 50% more
likely to survive
past age 5.*Education transforms communities & breaks the cycle of extreme poverty. It leads to better hygiene, better nutrition, additional jobs, and more thriving local economies. With more opportunities, families are more likely to stay together, and the conditions that promote trafficking will lessen.
And it all starts with teachers. A good teacher can make a world of difference. By ensuring that the teachers can provide for themselves and their families, and equipping them with necessary supplies and training, we enhance the education our students receive--we bring opportunity & hope to entire communities.
12 Teacher Salaries/Training/Supplies for ONE FULL YEAR
This generous donation from the Legacy Collective will allow us to provide 4 PreK/Kindergarten teachers and 8 primary school teachers in Ferrier Village with a fair salary, training, and classroom supplies for an entire year.
Better teachers lead to better schools.
Better schools leads to stronger communities.
Stronger communities are the best prevention for trafficking and the best way to fight poverty.
And it all starts with teachers.
