We are raising $5,000 to complete the building of a playground that will serve the 320 children at Spirit of Truth School in Drouin, Haiti.  This little town was the epicenter of 2010's cholera outbreak, and its main industry, rice farming, suffered greatly in the face of international aid following the earthquake of 2010. A playground will help to give a sense of fun, exercise, and excitement back to the children of this community who have suffered so much over the last few years.  

Our work at Drouin is mainly focused on family empowerment through education and community development.  Though the farming industry has begun to reestablish itself as a sustainable source of income for the region, many families still need assistance with their daily needs in order to prevent the need for their children to be sent away; in other words, supporting Drouin is a way to actively engage in orphan prevention.
