Dave and Donna Kruger are a South African couple based in Johannesburg. After seeing their first I Am Second White Chair Film back in 2012, they knew that this was a journey they needed to be on. The next step was to build a relationship with I Am Second and e3 Partners which led to the Kruger’s being given the permission they needed to register I Am Second South Africa as a Non-profit in order to pursue this work full time throughout South and Southern Africa.

                                

The Kruger’s took a huge step of faith of and obedience and are now in full-time ministry. They have also been to Dallas multiple times to interface withI Am Second headquarters, and what it means to lead the brand. Apart from being in Pastoral Leadership in their local church, the need to fulfill the Great Commission through Evangelism is what really drives them.

By using white chair films, personal stories, and other I Am Second materials; they encourage everyone they encounter to talk openly about Jesus and to start conversations. “We might be busy, but It’s not work when it’s your passion”.

They travel across South Africa to different cities and towns, preaching and equipping churches of all denominations in evangelism and discipleship, visiting multi-cultural schools (and pretty much most any other educational institution), and then also making themselves available to speak and be visibly present at different sporting events- teaching others what it means to live second.

                   

                      

In certain SADAC Countries (Southern Africa Development Community - Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, and Zambia) the Kruger’s have also partnered with other ministries to encourage and support villages through programs such as Church Planting, Medical Clinics, Skill Development(Farming God’s Way), and Clean Water Projects.

                   

Dave and Donna have also built a relationship with some of South Africa's top sporting teams. Several National and International Senior Rugby players now wear the I Am Second wristband, as a statement of their faith which allows them the opportunity to spread awareness and to encourage others what it means to live and play representing the name of Jesus.

The one thing Dave & Donna are certain of is the need to rely on God for Provision. They have the support of their local church as well as some who are committed to supporting what they do both in South Africa and The United States. They have set a budget and are working hard to achieve, maintain and grow their income stream through the generous support of people who believe and understand what it is that they do. Most importantly by being good stewards of what is sown in, and accountable to what they set out to do.
