Jamilah grew up in the BTCM program, and now she’s come full circle—returning to serve the very community that helped raise her. With a heart full of gratitude and purpose, she now pours into her BTCM brothers and sisters by sharing the love of Jesus, offering counseling, and helping children reconnect with their families. Jamilah is especially passionate about foster care and is taking a lead role in shaping and strengthening BTCM’s foster care program. Her lived experience, deep empathy, and growing leadership make her a powerful advocate for every child’s healing, restoration, and future.

A Day In Her Life: Our social workers champion our children by spending each day getting to know them through mentoring and discipleship. Through this intentional connection, they ensure each child’s holistic needs are being met—including emotional, spiritual, educational, and family strengthening support—and they actively work to find solutions for any gaps in care. For children placed in foster care, our social workers also provide ongoing training for foster families and conduct regular check-ins to ensure the children are thriving in safe, loving homes. Their daily work is rooted in deep care, wisdom, and a commitment to each child’s long-term well-being.
