Hey guys! We've found our baby! Baby Boy Jenkins is due in mid-December and we are excited to meet him and his momma. Thank you all so much for your prayers throughout this journey. It has seemed like forever just waiting until God brought us our perfect match. Please continue to pray as we prepare to welcome another baby to the family. Additionally, please be in prayer for baby and mom - that everything would remain healthy and on time!

Now that we have identified our child, things will obviously speed up. We are still in great need of financial aid to help us reach our goal and bring our baby home! We have BIG news!

We are adopting a child!

Adoption has been on our hearts for a while. Before we were married, before we were engaged, each of us felt as though we were called to adopt. We actually discussed adopting together even before discussing marriage or engagement. It's a part of what brought us together. 

After being blessed with Aikan (now 6) and Ainslee (now 4) we had planned on another before beginning the adoption process. Unlike with our first two, it took us much longer to find out about Blaiklee (now 15 months old). As we waited, we began thinking that perhaps this was God's way of leading us to adoption sooner than planned. As we began to research agencies we finally found out we were pregnant. So now, as we have hit a stride as a family of five (as well as that can be the case) we think it's time we open our home to another precious life. We feel incredibly honored to do so.

James tells us early in his book that God pleases in others caring for orphans and widows. It's humbling, and challenging, to know that we are setting out to uphold this passage. As we continue to pray for our fourth child, we ask that you would join us. Please pray for the child and mother, or family, that we will be paired with; that we may be a beacon of God's love for not only the child but the entire family unit. Please pray that this process will proceed swiftly and smoothly. Ultimately, please pray for God to be glorified through this process and in the life of our newest blessing. 

With that being said, we are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
