I plan to go to Honduras again this summer, if the Lord
allows. The team and I will bring acute medical care and the Hope of Jesus.
How do I begin to express why I go?
I truly believe God has given me the gift of evangelism. I have unknowingly used it to get people into nursing, to draw people into my church family, into classes, etc. Using this gift for its intended purpose brings fulfillment and joy indescribable.
I go because it’s part of my identity….
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.” He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 CSB
I go because the repetitive nature of sharing away from home helps me share more naturally at home. It sharpens me to go and the other missionaries, local and foreign, sharpen my faith.
I go because in order to go I have to rely fully on God.
I go because it changes me and aligns my will with God’s will.
I go because I love the people there.
I go because it hastens the Return of the King
I invite you to pray about what your role will be in Honduras. Will you GO with me? Will you help fund the work?
