Hey Everyone! So..... I just signed up for a mission trip to Cuba through my school!! I am so excited!! This will be such an amazing opportunity for me to reach out to the community in Cuba and apply what I have been learning in school. As a student at Loma Linda, this is just one of the many ways that they serve others and live out the mission of Jesus Christ and I am so looking forward to being apart of that! Many people in other countries lack medical care and/or have very little resources. As Loma Linda’s mission is “To make man whole,” this mission trip will provide healthcare education and assessment through a variety of activities while working alongside the SDA Cuban Union and Cuba Red Cross. The trip will take place during spring break of March 2020 and cost $1500. I will be staying there for one week with a group of people from my school who have the same heart as I do, to reach out to other communities. I will be fundraising to raise the money and I would greatly appreciate your help to allow me to go on this mission trip. Even if you cannot help financially, I would still appreciate your prayers! Working closely with the SDA Cuban Union and the Cuba Red Cross, our multidisciplinary team will provide healthcare education and assessment to the local community to promote health and wholeness.
Activities include:
-Health education workshops
-Community-based health fairs in conjunction with local healthcare providers
-Family seminars
-Vacation Bible school activities
