Heading back to Honduras again. Last year I briefly joined the local fire fighters, got arrested, and ended up in prison. Opportunities to share Christ every place I ended up.
Trusting in God every step led to a faith that produced new life in the people I met. Used the fire fighters’ loud speaker to invite people to a clinic. Begged to be put in handcuffs three times in one day. Found out there was a prison right down the block where one of our other clinics were—decided to wander in and say what’s up.
Every person I encountered was open to hearing the Gospel. God refreshed the patients we saw in the clinic. Not only were 1,335 patients seen, these people were heard as they shared with us their story. Many even had new stories to share as they accepted Christ and joined a local small group to continue in discipleship. God used my persistence to be placed in handcuffs by an officer to then allow me to pray over the entire police unit and their captain. I got to hear their story and how the area had mistrust towards the police over past dealings. I got to encourage them to continue working on rebuilding that relationship with the neighborhoods by bringing them to the clinic they assumed they were not welcome. The prison allowed us to leave some left over care packages and medicines to stock the prison pharmacy that was unable to obtain basics due to Covid shortages. We also were welcomed to share the gospel in front of 50 prisoners, and 11 of them accepted Christ as Lord and Savior.
Every opportunity, every step, every person. Thank you for being the main reason I can continue to witness to and of the glory of God. Will you prayerfully consider supporting me now as I return to the area of Progresso?
