The Gateway to the Incan World
Home to just 2,700 people, Urubamba is a small town nestled in the Andes Mountains and a popular stop for mountain climbers. It is the largest municipality in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, making it a vital transportation hub for visitors to the area. Produce sales and local craft shops drive the local economy.
What We’re Doing
We will be bringing a team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and others with us to provide free medical care to a people that often does not have access to care or cannot afford it.
We go, not in the name of mere charity, but in the name of the Gospel of Christ. Medical ministry provides our team an opportunity to share the Gospel with many who have never heard it. I have been witness to multi-generation local churches birthed out of medical clinic ministry and it is a beautiful sight to see!
The total trip costs goes not only to participant accommodations and transportation but for training local church leaders before, during, and after our expedition. Through our participation, local church leaders receive access to Bibles, discipleship materials, and much needed training. The training and materials received are then used to help feed the new church plants that are established during local clinic ministry. These church plants will then use some of the same materials and training to plant more churches that will plant more churches . . .
I have had a chance to personally experience a multi-generation church that came out of our clinic work in Huaran which is also located in the Sacred Valley of Peru. It is a beautiful site to see the Lord continuously at work!
These trips do not happen without financial support, but they certainly do not happen without prayer. Please consider joining our team in praying for us as we go. We are a diverse group, most of which are non-medical folks, and many of whom have never been out of the country. Thank you in advance and if you feel so led, feel free to support financially by clicking the button "Donate To This Fundraiser".
