Hi there, I am Jon Coley, a P2 student at Samford's McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Al. Once graduated, I hope to become a solid organ transplant pharmacist that also specializes in medical mission trips. I have been taking the steps to lead me to my professional goals, adding an international concentration to my doctoral degree and going on mission trips. The Lord has open up this opportunity for me to journey to Honduras and I am beyond thrilled to see what is in store. On this trip we will care for the communities we encounter physically and spiritually.
You can parter alongside me in this experience through various ways, the first being prayer. Prayer for safety, softened hearts, and that there is much healing over these communities we will encounter. You can also help by giving, the total cost of the trip is $2,550 and if you feel led as to assist in such a way, please donate through this page or by check. Thank you for your prayers and considerations for this trip.
Roatan is an island in the Caribbean about 40 miles off the coast of Honduras. As it was once occupied by Great Britain, many to this day speak English with a British accent. The climate on the island is warm 365 days a year with gentle breezes from the Caribbean. The people are warm and friendly, and most are willing to hear you as you share your story (testimony) and God's story (gospel).
In addition to evangelism and discipleship training, we are taking a medical team to care for those who are in need. In the spring of 2024, the only hospital on the island burned to the ground. So the free medical services this team can provide is crucial, much appreciated, and could lead to many gospel conversations.
