We appreciate all who have prayed, given or gone with us in 2013. You are an important part of our team!
Would you help us? We need to replace $500 per month in support that we lost this year. Here's how you can help--
Watching the popular “Duck Dynasty” TV show, then tuning in to watch our new film about the Robertson family, which already has been watched more times than all the films on our website all of last year!
Tuning in to the many secular media outlets that covered that film launch, including CNN and FoxNews, which both used clips on their national broadcasts that clearly explained the Gospel!
Rock music fans attending Dallas’ largest rock concert--Edge Fest--and seeing our team giving free taxi rides home to people not able to drive. Wonder how many woke up later wondering “how did I get home, and what does this I am Second wristband mean?”
Racing fans attending National Hot Rod Association Pro Sports races and seeing driver Mike Edwards’ dragster sporting an I am Second logo.
Seeing Brian Welch after he rejoined his former rock band Korn. We sent a film crew to record that reunion tour, and now are working on a documentary of how he is living out his faith in the midst of that heavy metal subculture.
Picking up a copy of the Spanish language version of People magazine, and seeing Mryka Dellanos, our first Yo Soy Segundo film, on the cover a couple weeks after her film launched.
e3 North America. As the I am Second team multiplied, early this year we decided to spin off the small groups ministry part of I am Second and start a new team called e3 USA. As we were asking God for direction for that team, He introduced us to Jeff Sundell. Jeff has seen thousands of churches started in Asia through teams he has coached. Through him and others our staff is learning a strategy called Training for Trainers (T4T).
We started US Expeditions this year, which combine T4T training and outreach, especially to immigrants. We’ve prototyped US Expeditions in Dallas, Boston, Birmingham, Nashville and San Antonio. We’ve seen home Bible studies started (which hopefully will grow into house churches) among Hispanics, Iraqis, Egyptians, Afghans, Anglos, Sudanese, Indian, Nepali, Chinese and Vietnamese.
Our e3 Canada team has grown from one staffer last year to eight either on staff or in the application process. It has been fun coaching them as they plan international Expeditions, Canadian Expeditions and launching I am Second in both English and French there.
Thanks for giving, praying and going with me. This ministry is a team effort, and we appreciate your contribution to these spiritual victories.
As mentioned above, we need to replace $500 per month in support lost this year. Here's how you can help--
