Trip Cost: $4,800

Hi everyone! 

This summer I have received the incredible opportunity to serve in Harare, Zimbabwe for eight weeks. I will be serving alongside an organization called Hands of Hope that helps with outreach in various parts of Africa. 

While I am there, I will be with one other person for the first six weeks and then a team will join us for the last two weeks of our trip. Nearly everyday we will be feeding and hanging out with orphans along with spending time with pregnant teenagers who have been cast out of their own families. We will be helping children learn and expand the knowledge they have because many children do not have the opportunity to go to school. As an entire team we will also be running a Vacation Bible School (VBS) and teach a couple of skill training classes for adolescents that are in need of jobs. I will be living with a pastor and his family while I am in Zim and will also be taking part in the pastor's family's everyday activities.
