As I have worked with children from various cultures and socioeconomic statuses, I have felt compelled to learn more. God has stirred in my heart to, "go and see," and what that meant I did not know.All I knew was that I love God and I love working with children with disabilities. When I first heard about Hope Speaks, I was inspired. They care not only about the sustainability of their work to continue for generations but also about empowering families of children with disabilities in the community. 

In Uganda there are over 3 million children living with disabilities. In this country, there are often misconceptions about people with disabilities. My job would be to serve the people in Kampala, Uganda as a Speech-Language Pathologist by providing evaluations, treatment, and educational events for the community.
