Hi friends! Thank you so much for visiting my Ethiopia trip page to learn more about what I'll be doing this summer. The Lord has opened the door for me to go back to the country that grabbed hold of my heart last summer. I’ll be heading there in July on a short-term mission trip to share the gospel (the good news of God's love and Christ's sacrifice for us) with men, women and children who have never heard that beautiful truth.

The Lord taught me so much on the trip last year about His perfect love and grace, not least of which being that my life on this Earth is not about me...it's about Him. It's about what's already been done to pay for my sins, my insecurities, my people-pleasing, my desire for control. It's about His constant pursuit of His children, regardless of how far we're trying to run or what lies we've believed about our own worth.

Ultimately, the purpose of this trip is to build relationships and share Christ with our brothers and sisters in Ethiopia, and I could not be more excited or humbled to be a part of that again this year. The people of Ethiopia are the most humble and joyful people I’ve ever met, which just makes me even more eager to get back there to share the truth of God’s love for them.

Since returning from Ethiopia last June, the Lord has continued His work in me, providing sweet lessons about who I'm called to be and all the ways I fall short on a daily basis...all proving more and more my need for grace and for a Savior. Each day, I learn more about how much He loves us and the lengths He'll go to prove it. 

And as I prepare to head to the country in a few short months, I would be so grateful for your support through prayer. Please join me in praying for the trip, for my team from Watermark Community Church, for the Christian partners we'll be working with in the country, and for the sweet new friends we meet along the way. Pray for soft hearts that are open to hearing this truth and for changed eternities.
