Remember Nhu has 34 homes in nine countries, which help over 700 children from entering into the sex trade: "It is our passion to open more Homes of Refuge around the world in order to keep as many children as possible out of the sex trade." -https://remembernhu.org/
Here is the reality: (from the Remember Nhu website), “In countries around the world it has become culturally acceptable to sell your children when ends don’t meet. Due to the high death rate in the sex trade (3 years or less), there is an increasing demand for more and more workers. Sadly, both boys as well as girls are wanted to fill brothels. It is because of the supply and the demand that horror of the sex trade continues. One of the reasons why prevention works is because of the education that happens when we come to the aid of a family. When a family is desperate enough to sell their children, we step in and offer a much better solution: we will take care of them for you. The family is allowed to visit whenever they want, but this rarely happens. It has become shameful now in these villages to sell your children. What was culturally acceptable is now unacceptable. That is our approach to ending sex trafficking; cutting off the source as well as protecting children before their lives are forever damaged.”
The children in our rescue homes in both Thailand and Myanmar wait each year with eager anticipation for our teams to return. As teams from Hear The Cry have continued to build relationships with these kiddo's and staff the trust and friendship has grown.Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand
