Dear Friend,

Deep in the Amazon jungle in Peru is the Shipebo tribe.  This is a people group made up of thousands, and less than 1% of them have ever heard about of Jesus or even met a believer.

I’m honored to announce God has given me the opportunity to minister to the Shipebo this fall!

On October 21st, a team of approximately 12 adults, including myself, will travel via plane, boat, and hike on foot to reach the Shawiis with the intent on sharing the Gospel of Jesus. Our leaders have been there previously, and people have already begun to make professions of faith and some have been baptized. Not only will we get to share the Gospel of Jesus with people who have never heard, but we will also get to encourage this small group of new believers. I am honored God would call me on this mission.

We’ll be staying in tents, eating local food, and filtering our own water from a nearby river.  

With that said, I’m going to need finances for plane tickets, gear, guides, lodging and food along the way, and translators (the native language there is Shawii). The total cost of the trip is going to be $3,500 (the price listed on this page does not include plane tickets). If you’re able to support me financially, please donate on this page.

Most importantly, I need your prayers. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). Since we will be staying in a primitive area, I won’t be able to send updates during the trip, but my hope is to plan an evening when I could provide an update for you all when I return safe and sound. We return on November 3rd.

I’m nervous, excited, humbled, and ready to go! Who am I that God would allow me to minister to His people in Peru? It’s certainly not because of anything I’ve done, but because of everything He has done.
