I am truly blessed for this opportunity to work in missions with a team in Lima Peru! Back before October, 27th, 2013, I never would have imagined that God would use someone like me! For years, I drank obsessively, and even got into drugs for a period of about three years. I was at the lowest I had ever been in my life. I managed to get off the drugs back in 2010, thinking I did it on my own. I continued to drink, though not nearly as much. I didn't realize at the time, that it was God working in my life. It wasn't long before I didn't care for alcohol at all. I realized that when I did drink, I became this rude, and mean person. This too, was God molding me. I still didn't give Him the credit at the time, I just thought I was this super strong willed person. That date I mentioned earlier, October 27th, 2013, was the day I would see all this clearly for the first time. I was in church to witness the baptism of my daughter, and the Holy Spirit began His conviction. The tears started as my daughter was submerged, and continued right through His invitation. That day, before I left, I accepted Jesus into my heart! Of course I am still a work in progress, and will always be, but God has blessed me, and opened up many doors for me. I now teach Sunday school, sing, and play piano occasionally for His invitation. My biggest passion, and I believe my true calling, is in missions. When I am able to talk, and pray with someone, to help lead them to Christ, I get the most amazing feeling! A feeling I can't even put into words. I ask for your prayers, and support as I prepare for this amazing opportunity. Thanks, God bless, and love to all!
