On June 14, 2020 I will be graduating from Pacific Union College School of Nursing. Finally, after a few hard years dedicated to an abundance of schooling, books, and drilling the “art of critical thinking” into the very fibers of my being, I was quite uncertain about what would follow after this accomplishment.
To make a long story short, I made a promise to God when I first started the nursing program- and tucked it away into the back of my mind until a few months ago that God brought it to my recollection and slowly (but surely) began to remind me of my promise.
This I know, God has called me to go out and serve, to go to a place that may be out of my comfort zone. One of my favorite verses since starting my college education at PUC was Galatians 1:5 which assures that God has indeed called me and chosen me by his marvelous grace. Through the unfolding of experiences, prayers, and God’s leading, I know he has called me to be a long-term missionary in Manaus, Brazil for this next season of my life.
There I will be serving alongside a ministry called Amazon Life-Savers to provide medical relief and evangelism to the villages and towns along the Amazon that hardly receive medical care. During this time, I will be serving in these villages to minister to the needs that God has placed before me: my territory, my mission field.
As I take a step towards this future, I am excited to continue to walk this journey with God. Even before this experience has officially launched, I want to encourage everyone to give some time to serve, to step outside of what is comfortable, in order to place yourself in the path to see His blessings and miracles bestowed when you absolutely simply. Trust. Him.
As I prepare to leave within the next couple of months, I would greatly appreciate any spiritual or financial support through prayers or donations to make this possible. I know God has a work for each and everyone of us as we press onward, forward, and ever closer to his kingdom.
