Kitchen Renovation Project

Mweruka Junior School was closed for nearly two years due to Covid. When they returned to MJS in January 2023 many. Children were malnurshed.  In rural Uganda malnutrition is endemic. At MJS school lunches are important to the children’s health and growth.  The school kitchen feeds 380-400 students daily.  A new, modernized kitchen is needed.  The cooking fires are inefficient and their smoke a health hazard.

With your help the school kitchen will be enlarged, dirt floors will be replaced with concrete, efficient gas stoves will be installed, electricity and running water will be brought to the kitchen.
