I'm not a crier. I cried yesterday. I got the email that my application to go on a Love Does trip to Uganda was accepted. I read Love Does by Bob Goff 3 years ago when my real estate company sent the book in the mail to me for my birthday. The seed was planted then but it's been on my heart for about 2 years to go to Uganda. Shortly after I read the book little things kept happening that I knew was confirming what was on my heart...I wasn't sure how or when but I just knew that it would happen in God's timing. It's amazing how that works. It even gets better than that though. My dad is going with me! He's no stranger to the mission field but this is my first international mission trip. It's a mission trip, an adventure, an opportunity to have my eyes and my heart opened to what is outside of my bubble. I'm looking forward to being the hands and feet of Jesus however that looks like during our travels. My 40th birthday was in June and my generous friends gave me a huge jump start on my fundraising goal because I was hopeful the timing would be right in my 40th year. I can not imagine a better gift and I'm so excited to share this journey with those who have already supported me and those of you who will support me before and during the trip however you feel led. Thank you so much for reading this far and I can't wait for this experience! P.S. if you'd like a copy of Love Does by Bob Goff send me a message and I'll mail you a copy.
