Sequoia Dental Assisting School is a non-profit dental assisting school located in Central Georgia. Our heart and vision is that SDAS would serve a need in the dental community for highly trained certified dental assistants while helping women who are trying to break free from poverty, hardship, exploitation or domestic violence. We believe in the power of generational life change and the power that comes from knowledge and education. We are driven by our love for God and for His people. At Sequoia DAS we equip and empower women to live, work, and thrive in the victory and wholeness of Jesus while utilizing opportunities in the dental field to educate and train for career placement.

To reach our goal of empowering women, we work closely with programs providing enrichment and support to women from various walks of life. Our 10 week program provides rigorous training through classroom studies, take-home material, and hands-on training. The student learning experience includes lecture style teaching, clinical on-site training, and tests. At the end of the 10 week mark and upon passing competencies, students receive a certificate of completion and begin the job search.

Sequoia Dental Assisting School is designed to be a bridge from poverty into exceedingly and abundantly more. Once our students earn a certificate of completion, we help in the process of job placement. This will bring an opportunity for generational life change. Our graduates will be able to apply and receive jobs within the dental field that offer competitive salaries and opportunity regardless of where they may move throughout their lives.  

In November of 2021 our inaugural class graduated. In December of 2022, our 2nd class of students graduated. From our inaugural class, we are thrilled and humbled to be able to announce that each of our students have gained employment and are thriving. Our most recent class of 7 students graduated in December 2022. 5 of our graduates are currently actively employed in the middle Georgia area.  Our first 2 class sessions gave us insight into what adjustments were needed for the most effective learning for our students. That is where our need for funding meets our desire to be a bridge of hope. We have a strong desire to continue to change lives in Central Georgia and funding makes this happen.
