Hey friends and family :)
I have an amazing opportunity to serve in Managua, Nicaragua after graduation with a group of other high schoolers from Westside: A Jesus Church. I will be serving at La Villa Esperanza - a home for at-risk girls. These young women have suffered from either from sex trafficking, abuse, or emotional distress. La Villa provides them with the chance to change the trajectory of their lives by providing emotional, spiritual, physical, and relational support. Although this trip will be centered around spending time with the girls, when they are in school my team will go throughout the city and participate in work projects wherever there is need.


I have felt called to go serve somewhere for the past four years, and now it is becoming a reality. It is a great opportunity for me to grow in my faith, learn more about myself, and be involved in changing other people's lives. This trip will push me out of my comfort zone which will give me the chance to be vulnerable in a new setting - contributing to not only helping others, but my personal growth. It will be a week to focus my attention on what's most important - loving, encouraging, and serving others. I am excited to be in a place where I will be able to manifest deeper relationships with the people around me.
