In 2025, I felt the Lord convict me, pointing out that I have been given an education, a testimony, and a new life, and I was doing NOTHING with it. Later that year, I went on to encounter the love of Jesus in a way that set me free and healed me from so much sin that had dominated my life and wounds hard things I had experienced. It changed everything about my life when I encountered His love for me.
Now, I want to do what He says, and take His gospel of reconciliation to those who might be truly hungry for His love! Refugees are in a place of extreme vulnerability. The pain of living in a cross cultural environment can wreak havoc on an individuals mental and emotional state. There is a real loss of identity when people are forced to flee from the places they have found themselves. I want to meet these people, hear their stories, share the love of Jesus with them, and watch His light shine into the darkness of the broken world He came to save and heal.
Cucuta is the gateway to Colombia on the border with Venezuela. There are great spiritual and physical needs in this city because of the refugee crisis from Venezuela. As many as 20,000 people cross the border at Cucuta each day to seek food, medicine, and employment.
God wants us to use this time of tension to lead to transformation through the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel! God can use you as a powerful light-bearer to destroy the dominion of darkness in Cucuta. Join us!
