Hello there!
Thank you for taking the time to check out what this trip to Ethiopia is all about. I have done mission work in the past and have been fortunate enough to be on mission trips building houses and providing medical and dental care. It was great seeing God move in interactions of helping and healing. It is honestly something I thought of whether or not to find another dental mission trip and use the gifts God gave me to help in a specific capacity for dental care and sharing the gospel when an opportunity arose. Then my roommate Brandon went on a mission trip to Ethiopia last year and from hearing his story and a lot of prayer over the last year The Great Commission took on a new meaning for me. Jesus was clear in Matthew 28: 19-20: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age." That is what Jesus LEFT them with. A charge. To know God and to make Him known. After hearing those stories, it is amazing how this mission trip is purely to share the good news of the gospel and nothing else. The gospel was shared 1570 times last year in Ethiopia. And it wasn't just a mentioning and never see you again- there is a community of sustainability to plug new believers or anyone curious of the gospel to local leaders in the church and walk through life with them.
If you have any questions please reach out! And if financial support isn't something you can provide, prayers are just as appreciated!
Thank you,
Matthew Pepper
