This year has been a sweet reminder that I am not in control, and that we have a good God we can trust. A verse I have been clinging to recently, is Deuteronomy 8:3 which says, “He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of Lord.” God has been showing me that I have been hungering for things outside of Him and ultimately trying to live on my own strength instead of on Him & His Word. I am grateful that He doesn’t leave us there but continues to pursue us.

In His kindness, while pruning me to look more like Him, God has opened the door for me to go on a short-term mission trip to Ethiopia with e3 Partners Ministry and Watermark Community Church this summer 2022. We will partner with Ethiopian Christians as we do children’s VBS and men’s and women’s outreach. Ultimately, the purpose of the trip is to build relationships and share Christ with Ethiopians who have never heard the name of Jesus and help fulfill e3 Ethiopia’s vision of planting churches within the unreached peoples of the Arsi Oromo.

First, I would greatly appreciate for you come alongside me in prayer for this trip. I would love prayer for the below as God prepares my team and myself to spread the good news of the Gospel to those in Ethiopia. Please pray…

·       That God would be glorified and for His name would be known.

·       That God will open the eyes of the Orthodox, Muslims, and witch doctors to the truth of the Gospel.

·       That God would embolden believers in the face of persecution & that He would raise up godly leaders to shepherd His people.

·       That we would be equipped with every good thing to do God’s work, being sensitive to the Spirit and faithful to where He is leading.

·       That our words and wisdom would be from Him and not our own efforts.
