Hey y'all! My name is Meagan. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am 20 years old and was born and raised in Texas but have lived in Florida for the past 3 years. When I was 17 I got wrecked by the love of God for the first time in my life and decided that day to follow Jesus. Since then God has taken me on a crazy adventure. He has placed a calling of overseas missions on my life and so far I have been to Uganda and Thailand. He has broken my heart for the lost and given me eyes to see them through His eyes. With each country I have fallen more and more in love with God and His creation. Now He has called me to Southern Nepal on August 5th to do the same thing. He has sent my team to seek out 2 unreached people groups and to share the love and message of Jesus with them. To love on them and to bring them a message of hope that they don't have. To witness them meet their Savior and Creator for the first time. We will be sharing the Gospel and discipling new believers as well as planting house churches in each of the villages. This trip is going to be so incredible but I can't get there alone. I need prayer and financial support. If God leads you to give you can just click that donate button or write a check (Email me at meagandaniel1@yahoo.com for details). Thank you so much for supporting me on this new adventure.
Be blessed,
Meagan
One word describes Nepal - extreme. While barely larger than the state of Arkansas, the country is home to the impressive Himalayas. Daunting mountain peaks and steep cliffs tower over the land.
This trip is reaching one of the 10 groups that was funded by Passion 2015. This trip is not an official Passion 2015 or Passion Conference led trip.
A People in Isolation
Nepal boasts a distinct and proud heritage as one of the few countries in Asia not to be ruled by a colonial power. It remained socially and politically isolated until 1951. Its monarchy, dating back to ancient times, didn’t end until 2008.
At one point, Nepal was the world’s only Hindu Kingdom. Today, it is a secular democracy but Hinduism still maintains a strong hold on the land. Of the 352 people groups who reside within Nepal’s borders, 343 of them are considered unreached. That amounts to over 28 million people who have never heard the Gospel!
What We’re Doing
This expedition will specifically target two unreached and unengaged people groups in Southern Nepal. This is your chance to share the Gospel with some of the 99% of Nepal’s population who have never heard the name of Jesus. As people receive Christ, we will establish new house churches in the region. Local pastors and leaders will continue cultivating relationships in the area and disciple these new followers of Jesus.
In just one week, you can venture into an untamed part of the world, share the Gospel, and fuel a Gospel movement that outlives your time on this Earth.
Let the adventure begin.
