Hello all. As many of you know, I am a senior in the Nurse Anesthesia program at Loma Linda University. I have been invited to join some of my classmates for a week long medical mission trip in rural Honduras. Our mission is to provide anesthesia to children and adults in need, whom otherwise may not have this opportunity. I have loved every minute of my anesthesia journey and couldn't be more excited to help impact the lives of those in greater need. Each team member is responsible for raising a portion of the trip’s cost. The entire cost of the trip is $1,500/ person. If you would like to partner with me as I prepare to go to Honduras, you can donate here. All contributions are tax deductible and no amount is too small. Thanks everyone!
The LLU CRNA Program has teamed up with the LLUMC Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery to provide care for the people of Honduras. The facility, Hospital Adventista Valle de Angeles (HAVA), sits up in the mountains in a rural location where Hondurans often come for peace, tranquility, and healing. The opportunity to care for people using less than the modern conveniences offered in the United States allows the students to be creative, adapt and learn to be resourceful. Additionally, through the Global Health Institute (GHI) and Students for International Mission Service (SIMS), we are able to obtain necessary supplies and raise funds to support our efforts.
