Hi everyone!

My name is Melanie, and I’m a nursing student at Loma Linda University. Ever since I was young, I’ve felt called to help people, especially those who don’t have access to the care and compassion they deserve. Going on a mission trip has always been one of my biggest dreams, and now that dream is finally becoming a reality. Through this opportunity, I’ll be traveling with Loma Linda to serve communities in need, providing not only healthcare but also kindness, comfort, and hope.

Studying nursing has deepened my understanding of what it truly means to care for and heal, both physically and emotionally. My goal has always been to pursue a career in labor and delivery nursing, and eventually, to do missionary work full-time so I can continue serving mothers, families, and individuals around the world. This mission trip is an important first step toward that purpose. It’s more than just a trip for me. It’s a chance to live out my faith, grow as a future nurse, and use my skills to make a real difference in people’s lives.
