About this Fundraiser

~A Bit Of My Story~
This spring I am incredibly blessed to say I am returning to the people and place I have come to know and love in Nicaragua. I have spent a lot of time in Nicaragua experiencing god in a different capacity than ever before, and establishing relationships with the people there who have taught me that, even when you have nothing, Joy is everlasting. Those who know me know of my passion for missions and my passion for the people of Nicaragua, and one of those people include my sponsor girl, Norma! I first met Norma on my first ever trip to Nicaragua in July of 2015, and I have been sponsoring her ever since. She, along with the rest of the people of Nicaragua have become one of the most important parts of my life.

Nicaragua has been absolutely life-changing to me in countless ways. But the most important life-changing moment in my life I believe is that, Nicaragua was the place that god revealed to me that I was meant for something more in life. That I was meant to do more than just sit on the sidelines in every area from relationships, involvement in ministry, and my relationship with Jesus. That one day I was meant to not just have a normal life where I would get a decent career and have a family one day. But rather a life of serving, and selflessness. A life of sacrifice, and integrity, and truly living free. A life that held a calling to rise up, and step into Ministry as a Youth Pastor.

~What We Do In Nicaragua~
Down in Nicaragua there is a broken town named Cristo Rey (Which stands for Christ Is King). And Cristo Rey is actually located right on a massive dump that’s larger than the town itself. Cristo Rey is a town full of poverty, trash, sickness, stray animals, and these small houses made out of stone and sheets of metal. But more importantly, Cristo Rey is filled with people. These people live in a place of little food, little water, a lot of violence, and a whole lot of trash. But despite their circumstances, you end up encountering the most Joyful people on Planet Earth.

Our team flies down to Nicaragua, where we stay in the capital city, Managua, at a compound named Open Hearts that is about a one hour bus ride away from Cristo Rey. We load up and travel each morning to Cristo Rey, where we put together a Vacation Bible School for all of the kids of Cristo Rey. We play music for them, they get to make crafts, we have snacks for them, we tell them stories from the bible in spanish, and play all kinds of games with them. And they get to experience a love unlike any other love they have ever known... God’s love. And at the end of the day after everything is packed up, we spend some time with the kids loving on them and giving them everything we have from our hearts, before leaving back to Open Hearts where we spend time together in sessions, going through a book of the bible, and genuinely getting deep into what God has to speak to our hearts in that time. It is during these times that some of the most life-changing moments occur.

~My Goal~
For it to be possible that I take this trip, I need to raise at least $1,295. I believe that money is just a small obstacle in the way of a big mission, and that if me going to Nicaragua is in God’s will, than it is God’s bill. So if you feel moved to donate, it would be appreciated massively, and whether it is $100, $10, or $1, anything will help. But if you do not feel moved to donate, that is completely ok. There is an alternative way to help get me to Nicaragua in the power of prayer, it is the most powerful weapon on the planet after all. It would also help by simply just sharing this fundraiser on Facebook, and other social media sites.

I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read this and learn about the mission of what God does with us in Nicaragua, and to hear a bit of my personal experiences there. I know that Jesus is going to do incredible things in Nicaragua, and do incredible things in my life as well.

~Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the lord, “plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”~
