Thanks for visiting my page. My name is Michael Nwosu and I am currently a fourth year medical student at Loma Linda University (LLU). I would like to briefly share the reason why this page is here, and the awesome opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of Brazil.

During March 18-26, 2017, I will be going to Brazil with a team of students from LLU. Our team will partner with Social Action Volunteers of the Amazon (ASVAM), a non-profit organization through the Adventist Conference in Manaus, Brazil. Together, we will provide health fairs, mobile clinics, and health education with the goal of connecting with the local Brazilians and villagers. Not only will we address physical health, but also the opportunity to minister to the spiritual and mental needs through Vacation Bible school and worship with the local villagers.

Those of you who know me, know that I have a heart and passion for mission. As a medical student, I have come to see the disparities and impact that physical health can have on one's perception of themselves, their outlook on life, and for some the will to not live anymore. Interacting with patients has taught me the necessity to address and care for the entirety of the person--not just their physical needs, can dramatically improve their lives. This mission trip is an opportunity for me to share the love of Christ, through medical service. Matthew 25:40 says, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

That is why I need your help--whether its through donations, prayers, or words of encouragement. I need to raise $1500 by March 15, 2017, and I would be so grateful and appreciative, if you could be a part of this process.
