Malawi
is one of the world’s least developed countries. The
average life expectancy is very low, which is influenced by the country’s high
infant and maternal mortality rates. HIV and AIDS plague the people while
stifling economic growth. Out of a population of 15 million people, it is
estimated that Malawi has over a million orphans. Mangoche has a large Muslim population There are many villages near Mangoche with no
church of any kind. The people of Mangoche district are hungry to hear the
gospel message, but the vast majority of people have never heard a clear
presentation of the gospel. On
this expedition, we will work with several churches to establish 30 + new
mission churches/cell groups through door-to-door evangelism and discipleship
oriented services. The trip will provide many opportunities to work with the
large number of children including many orphans. The trip will also offer free
medical and eye care. Veterinary ministry is also a key component helping
control the spread of rabies in dogs and cats as well as provide care for
cattle, sheep and goats, a major source of subsistence and income. Meanwhile,
sports clinics will allow our teams to build relationships with the people. As
we serve, the medical, veterinary and sports ministries will enable us to reach
many Muslims with the life changing message of salvation through Jesus Christ. .
